2010 Open Meet Frequently Asked Questions
- What does "Secondary Entry" mean?
- Secondary entry applies to all distance events (400m and above). This simply means
that, unlike shorter distance events, swimmers in distance events need to check in on the day to confirm
their attendance - this enables the organisers to create a heat and lane draw on the day to prevent
heats running with empty lanes if swimmers don't turn up for these events. In all other events, the heat
and lane draw is done prior to the meet for all accepted entries - if a swimmer doesn't turn up there
will be an empty lane in the heats they have entered for.
- Which Level Can I Enter - 2 or 3?
- Swimmers can enter level 2 and level 3 events - as long as they don't enter
the same event at both levels
